This nest was laid on May 12, the earliest start to the nesting season since Turtle Watch began in 1991! Adopted by Nike Store at Pier Park. Hatched July 24.

Katrina Williams and Lynda Yates found the eggs with help from a high school student staying at the condo. The student saw the turtle nesting the previous night. Adopted by Girl Scout Daisy Troop 582.

This nest was reported after midnight, and Turtle Watcher Karen Rodriguez arrived in time to see the turtle return to the water. Karen and Lynda moved 114 eggs to a higher spot nearby.

This nest was laid at 22219 Front Beach Rd and moved to Sunnyside due to the nourishment project. Volunteers Karen and Lynda moved 113 eggs. This nest was dug into by predators on 8/17, thankfully after it hatched.

This nest was laid at 22115 Front Beach Rd and moved to Sunnyside due to the nourishment project. Volunteers Rich and Isis Koenders got to see the turtle as she was returning to the water. This nest was dug into by predators on 8/17, possibly causing the hatchlings to emerge.

Rich and Isis moved 97 eggs to a higher spot nearby. This turtle nested at our designated relocation area for the nourishment project. Predators dug into this nest on 8/17 and damaged several eggs.

We found this nest thanks to the sharp eye of a security guard who saw the nesting turtle and egg finding skills of volunteer Lynda Yates. The nest was washed away by Tropical Storm Lee on 9/4.

Our first tagged turtle of the season! Nancy Evou installed metal tags in both front flippers as the turtle returned to the water, XXT 906 in left and RRE 578 in right. This nest was flooded by Tropical Storm Lee on 9/4.

Coyotes discovered this nest which was missed by the surveyors. Several eggs were taken by the predators.
