This nest was laid at 22115 Front Beach Rd and moved to Sunnyside due to the nourishment project. Volunteers Rich and Isis Koenders got to see the turtle as she was returning to the water. This nest was dug into by predators on 8/17, possibly causing the hatchlings to emerge. |

We found this nest thanks to the sharp eye of a security guard who saw the nesting turtle and egg finding skills of volunteer Lynda Yates. The nest was washed away by Tropical Storm Lee on 9/4. |

Our first tagged turtle of the season! Nancy Evou installed metal tags in both front flippers as the turtle returned to the water, XXT 906 in left and RRE 578 in right. This nest was flooded by Tropical Storm Lee on 9/4. |
