Ants got into this nest and forced
us to do an emergency excavation. 4 hatchlings emerged on their own, all covered in ants,
and 18 more were discovered inside the nest. Shirley Brown, Paul Gicewicz, and Kennard
Watson cleaned the ants off the turtles and released them into the gulf. 47 unhatched eggs were
reburied beside nest #10. |
